The Rationale of the Competition:
It is a competition that is concerned with memorizing and reviewing the Holy Quran for the student of the university, as well as the interpretation and the meditation of the Holy Quran.
The objectives of the competition:
1) To encourage male and female students’ interest in the Book of Allah-the Almighty- through memorization, performance, and meditation.
2) The competition between those who memorized the Holy Quran
3) Associating the university student with the Holy Quran which is the source of its pride in the world and its happiness in hereafter
4) Highlighting the interest of the Saudi Arabian Kingdom in the Book of Allah and its care of those who memorize it.
The conditions of the participation in the competition:
1) The participant should be among the college students of the Majmaa University
2) The student should be ready to represent the university in external competitions in the case of his victory
3) The student should participate in competition branches
4) He should be ready for the interpretation test, which a written test in one of the Quran’s Suwar in the branch of competition
5) The part of the Holy Quran in the participation should be successive (from the beginning of the Quran or from Surat An-Ânas (The Mankind))
The branches of the competition:
The competition consists of five sections:
1) Memorizing the whole Quran with the recitation, the intonation, and the interpretation of one of the Quran’s Suwar of the branch
2) Memorizing fifteen parts with the recitation, the intonation, and the interpretation of one of the Quran Verses.
3) Memorizing ten parts with the recitation, the intonation, and the interpretation of one of the Quran Verses.
4) Memorizing five parts with the recitation, the intonation, and the interpretation of one of the Quran Verses.
5) Memorizing two parts (An-Nabà (The Announcement) and Al-Molk (The Sovereignty) and the interpretation of one of the Quran Verses.
The Participation Procedures and the Setting up of the Competition:
1) Each contestant has to register in the secretary of the activity in the college
2) Each college selects the names of the convenient student to participate in the competition
3) The jury is made up of two members of the specialists in Quran, from the relevant authorities for the qualification between female and male students
4) The dates of the student’s final qualifications are determined to take place in the University City in the Majmaa, and the date is to be determined in the announcement. While, for female student, the date is determined in one of the university colleges
5) Prizes are awarded to the winners (the first- the second –the third)
6) The winner is required to obtain more than 70% of degrees

The proposed Suwar for interpretation:
-The first branch: Surat (Al-Imran, The Family of Imran)
-The second branch: Surat (Al-Nahl, The Bee) to the first half of the Quran and Surat (TâHâ)
till the last ten parts
-The third branch; Surat (Al-Anfâl: Spoils of War) to the ten first parts, and Surat (Al-Rum; the Romans) till the last ten parts
-The fourth branch: the first part to the first five parts, and Surat (Al-Ahqaf; The Wind) till the last five parts
The fifth branch: the interpretation of Surat Al-Molk: The Sovereignty)
