Within the Faculty plan to activate its role of social responsibility, the Unit of Community Service and Continuing Education in coordination with the Department of Modern Islamic Studies, visited Hawtah Sudair Center to meet the Head of the Center. The visiting delegation included the Faculty Dean, Dr. Tarek Bin Suleiman Al-Bahlal, the Faculty Vice-Dean for Educational Affairs, Dr. Yusuf Bin Mohamed Al-Muhawis, the Faculty Vice-Dean for Quality, Dr. Saad Al-Uthaymin, the Faculty Vice-Dean for Students Affairs, Dr. Adel Bin Abdul Rahman Al-Alyan, the Head of the Department of Islamic Studies, Dr. Ziad Bin Hamad Al-Amer, the Member of the Department of Islamic Studies, Dr. Abdul Aziz Bin Mohamed Al-Hamdan, the Head of Unit of Public Relations, Mr. Abdullah Bin Abdul Rahman Al-Saied and the Media Coverage Official, Mr. Ahmed Bin Abdalaziz Al Waheeb. Several Issues were addressed in the visit to emphasize the desire of the Faculty to review the reality of the society and its needs, and to exert every effort to serve all members of society, as well as to build bridges of communication with all governmental and private institutions for the interest of the local community and its people. Such role is a part of the duties the Department performs to address some of the problems faced by the society and the intellectual deviations and the right way to treat them. The community service is of a major importance to the Faculty and its officials, which considered to be a national demand, to provide the best services to all members of society, particularly the governmental employees. During the visit, the activities of the Faculty in the service of community, such as holding of several sessions, workshops and training courses for teachers in schools of the office of education in Hawtah Sudair and municipal employees were further reviewed. Other services were also provided, such as the visit of the Heads of Scientific Departments to secondary schools to introduce the students to the different specializations and the qualities of each of field; also many programs were developed in the Faculty, such as the program of consultations, the preacher student program and the program of integration in the educational environment. Coordination has also been made for a blood donation campaign. Then, the delegation listened to the praise of the Head of the Center, Mr. Fahd Al-Zakri for the performance of both the Faculty and the Department, who thanked everyone for their efforts exerted in the service of society in all areas, especially Sudair region. Mr. Al-Zakri also explained that the Faculty plays a distinctive and prominent role in raising the awareness among the members of the society.
