In coordination with the unit of student activities, the Department of Islamic Studies, the Department of Mathematics and the Unit of Academic Guidance and Advising jointly held the Pilgrim Diary program on Tuesday and Wednesday 24-25/11/1436 in the College Theater. Dr. Hayat Othman Mohammad delivered in the first day a lecture on the story of building Alka’abah followed by Ms. Badriyyah Aloteibi speech on the benefits of the first ten days of Dhu Alhijjah (the Haj month in the Hijri Calendar). In the second day, Dr. Wafa’a Hosni, the faculty member in the Department of Islamic Studies, lectured in detail on “How to Perform Haj”. She elaborated on the types of Haj in a very straightforward and clear manner that pleased the audience. Moreover, the student Shahad Abdulrahman Alsuielem made a visual presentation on how to obtain a Haj permit, and highlighted the health and culture issues of Haj. The program included video presentations on Talbiyyah (phrases said by pilgrims during Haj) played in cooperation with Public Relations Unit. Some booklets were distributed which explained Haj and all the duties pertaining to it. The program was concluded by varied contests and gifts were awarded to participants.
