The Student Activity Unit along with the Committee of Academic Counseling at the English Department held its first meeting with the students of the English Department on 08/02/2015 at the Reception Hall. The purpose of the meeting was to review the academic counseling plan and illustrate the roles and tasks of academic counselors explaining the interactive part that students should play in the counseling process between students and counselors. Students were reminded of their effective role in the academic counseling, the importance of abiding by the counselors’ timetables, meanwhile, students expressed their complaints about lack of suitable facilities, and that sometimes they do not know their counselors. At the end of the meetings, students’ suggestions and opinions were reviewed in order to improve the process of academic counseling at the college
