Google Earth and its Applications

The Chemistry Department at the Faculty of Science and Humanities in Hawtat Sedeir organized a lecture entitled “Google Earth and its Applications”. The lecture- given by Dr. Mahmoud Abdul-Mawjood, Assistant professor at the Department- addressed the advanced capabilities of the software such as mapping and 3D imaging of landscapes and buildings. Dr. Mahmoud pointed out that a few applications related to Google such as Google Ocean, Google Sky View, Google Mars and Google Moon could all be downloaded. Queries from the attendees were answered at the end of the lecture.
