A Lecture entitled “Appreciating Sharia Texts”

The Intellectual Awareness Unit held on Tuesday a lecture entitled “Appreciating Sharia Texts”. The lecture was presented by Dr. Omaira Al-Rasheedi who began by highlighting the value of Islam then she defined the concept ‘submission’ as the honest belief. She cited some examples of companions who accepted immediately the order of God to wear hijab and to abandon their husbands who remain disbeliever. She suggested some of the things that may help a person to submit to her God such as reciting Quran and seeking knowledge.
