A Lecture entitled “Role of Sunnah in Solving Current Issues”

The Islamic Studies Department in cooperation with the Student Activity Unit held a lecture entitled “Role of Sunnah in Solving Current Issues” on Tuesday. The lecture was presented by Dr. Sa’adya Al-kabir who gave an introduction about Sunnah and its role in solving many of current issues such as how to self-check a news. Dr. Al-Kabir also highlighted the difference between real news and rumors as well as the negative impacts of rumors on the community. She cited some Hadiths which call for self-check of any news. General rules of how to report news were mentioned based on Hadiths.
