In cooperation with the Unit of Student Support in the Faculty of Science and Human Studies in Hotat Sudair, the Unit of Student Affairs held a reception ceremony for the new students on Wednesday morning 14/11/1436 at 9:30, in the Faculty Theater. The celebration started with some verses from the Glorious Qur’an, followed by a speech by the Secretary of Student Affairs, Ms. Haya Al Sibaie. Then, a welcoming speech was made by the Faculty Vice Dean of the females sections, Dr. Noorah Shaker Al Shihri, in which she welcomed the students and wished them success in their academic journey. She also stressed the importance of attending lectures and sticking to the Islamic dress. Moreover, Dr. Al Shihri highlighted that the students should communicate with their departments’ coordinators for any problem they face in their education. Afterwards, the Faculty Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Ms. Maha Abdulrahman Alleifan, talked about the regulations and the examinations of the academic programs in details. Then, the Head of Admission and Registration Unit, Ms. Norah Naser Al Dhawi, welcomed the students and answered their questions. In addition, she talked about the medical reports, University ID, GPA, the maximum and minimum number of credit hours and warning letters, etc. The celebration was concluded with a training course by the Unit of Student Support presented by Dr. Zaynab Abbas. Finally, some small contests were made along with some gifts given to the audience.
