The vice dean for quality and skills development Dr. Khaled Bin Mohamed AL Jarallah conducted a seminar entitled "quality and its applications in education" on Wednesday 8/5/1437. The affiliates of the Education Management Bureau at Houtat Sudir Urban Center and their colleagues from the Majmaah Education Department as well as male and female school principals attended the seminar. The college dean Dr. Tarek Bin Sulaiman AL Bahlal welcomed the audience and briefed them on the roles the college plays in serving the community in addition to its future roles in the field. The dean highlighted the attendance of the fifty colleagues of whom some made a trip to the college. The speaker started the seminar by explaining the concept of quality in education pointing to the fact that total quality is part of education and a necessity to improve learning outcomes. The speaker identified the relationship between quality in education and the need to cause any targeted change in the field. He then presented the features of advanced and sustainable quality that focuses on such issues as: mobilizing all working staff in the institution, planning to achieve challenging goals, adopting teamwork, concentrating on the goals set by the educational establishment and linking it all with the strategic plan. The seminar dealt then with the experience of Majmaah University as one of the success stories in this field. The dean explained the phases of quality development from mere theories to practical applications adopted by all the hierarchy in the institution. Discussion was then opened and the speaker answered the questions of the audience. Having received their attendance certificates the attending members praised the lecture and the relevance of its subject and the ability of the speaker to deal professionally with all the aspects of the topic. The lecture is part of the college plan to serve the community. The dean thanked the audience for their interaction and extended special thanks to the Education Bureau Director Mr. Saleh AL Zikri for his constructive cooperation and care to interact with such programs.
