Seminar at the College of Sciences and Humanities in Houtat Sudair under the title “The Arabic language ‘definition - Origins - How to study it"


 
A seminar at the College of Sciences and Humanities in Houtat Sudair was held under the title “The Arabic language ‘definition - Origins - How to study it” for which  Dr.: Tariq ibn Suleiman Albahlal – the College Dean - called upon the region’s residents, the college’s employees from faculty, staff, and students to attend, and where Dr.: Ashraf Ahmed Baklish – Associate Professor of linguistics  at the Department of Arabic Language - gave a lecture  entitled: The Arabic language ‘definition - Origins - How to study it” . He talked about how to consolidate the ancient and modern concepts of language and about the issue of the emergence of language through a number of various theories, including:   the terminology theory, the theory of special instinct, and the theory of simulation. As for how the Arabic language was studied, he said that  the Arabic language, like any of the languages ​​of mankind, was studied through the levels of linguistic analysis: morphology, syntax, and phonology, and semantic

  After that, Dr. Ziad Amer - Head of Islamic Studies - opened the dialogue with the audience with whom a good discussion took place which enriched the linguistic awareness among the attendees.  It is also worth mentioning that Dr. Omar bin Salem Al Saidi - Vice Dean for Academic Affairs - will prepare an educational program in this regard
