In keeping with its tradition at the beginning of each semester, the Deanship of the Faculty of Science and Humanities in Houtat Sudair organized a welcoming party at the presence of faculty members in order to welcome the new students at the beginning of the second term of the academic year 1433 -1434. This took place under the auspices of His Excellency (HE) the Dean Dr. Tariq ibn Suleiman Albahlal, who delivered a speech- after a brief recitation from the Holy Quran- in which he welcomed the freshmen and encouraged them to set the good example as a university student inside the college, and beyond; with their colleagues and teachers, as learning generates stronger bonds between community members. He also encouraged students to work harder, which brought the sincere spirit of fatherhood and care for his son-like students.
He also praised former students from all levels and departments for their decent behavior.
Then, Dr. Ziad Bin Hamad Al Amer, Chairman of the Department of Islamic Studies, talked about the academic systems in the college, and emphasized the importance of public morality and ethics, as well as securing high grades.
At the end of the party, HE-as usual- opened the door to dialogue for all students, wherein he answered all their questions and inquiries before he ended the meeting, which was appreciated by all the students who valued the efforts of the Deanship and Vice Deanship for Academic Affairs. The students also commended the Academic Advising Unit mandated by the dean of the college to guide and advise students academically, and help them overcome all the obstacles they may face.
