The Department of Computer Science at the Faculty of Science and Humanities held a welcoming reception for its new students. The program included a welcoming speech from the Department coordinator, Ms. Sarah Al-Ruwaished and the Department members. A speech by Dr. Eman Mustafa, the Department Supervisor, followed. Dr. Eman welcomed the freshmen and explained the importance of learning and hard work. Students were introduced to the College facilities, the staff and faculty members along with the rules and regulations of the Department. Ms. Jamila AL-Mutairi subsequently showed the students the proposed activities of the current semester. Various short competitions and quizzes were conducted during the celebration. The aim of the program was to raise the awareness of faculty and improve the relationships between the new students and the staff members in line with the Faculty regulations. Several leaflets and brochures about the College and its programs in addition to refreshments were distributed at the end of the reception.
