The Assessment Unit at the Vice-Dean’s Office for Quality and Development conducted on Sunday a workshop entitled “ Applications of Learning Outcomes Measurement”, presented by Dr. Essam Abdelrahman in the presence of a group of faculty members. The workshop focused on highlighting the signficiance of measuring learning outcomes and all associated concepts. The method of measuring learning outcomes for a course and a program and how to fill out the forms was explained. The Faculty members’ feedback were fruitful with regard to the time plan and courses selected for being measured, the review of course and program descriptions and the annual report of programs based on the latest accredited edition by the Dean’s Office for Quality and Skills Development. The recommendations of the workshop suggested the necessity of improving learning outcomes measurements particularly for scientific plans and program accreditation.
