A Workshop entitled : “Steps of Publishing in ISI Journals ”

The Vice-Dean’s Office for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research held a workshop on Monday entitled : “Steps of Publishing in ISI Journals" in the Honors Hall.
Presented by the Vice Dean Assist. for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Rehab Sheikh, the session addressed the important steps to publish a scientific research and the role of famous and reliable publishing houses (profit and non-profit). It also explained the features of scientific journals and the main reasons for rejecting a research such as plagiarism.
The significance of international standards for journals was addressed particularly the Impact factor and how it is calculated as well as downloading its file from the site Clarivate Analytics.
SJR of Scoups was also explained and the importance of having an ID for the researcher through registering for an ORCID.
