The training Unit held a workshop entitled "The Art of Leadership", on Thursday 5/7/1439 H, presented by Dr. Jamal Halawa, a faculty member of the Business Administration Department.
Dr. Halawa mentioned in the workshop leadership techniques, methods and importance. He also highlighted the sources of strong leadership and leadership theories followed by listing the stereotypes of leadership. Circumstances governing the leader and how a decision is made as well as the art of managing a committee were addressed.
The presenter also discussed with students the concept of leader and whether the culture of the institution or individual can be modified over time or not.
Dr. Halawa presented the most important characteristics of the active leader, and how to deal with subordinates.
Speaking of committee, Dr. Halawa defined the term 'meeting' and mentioned the various types of it, ideal number of members, appropriate time of conducting a meeting and on what basis members are selected.
A number of workshops were conducted for students to bridge the gap between theory and practices.
