The Faculty of Science and Humanities at Rumaah concluded events of awareness campaign on fighting breast cancer, which was organized by the Faculty in cooperation with the Saudi Cancer Society and with the participation of Abdullatif Cancer Screening Center and Runaah General Hospital. The campaign lasted for three days, and included various events that aimed to highlight the dangers of ignorance of this disease and the importance of spreading health awareness in a serious attempt to limit and contain the growth of the disease, in addition to this, the campaign contributed to drawing the attention of the targeted age group in the community to the importance and need for health awareness of this disease. The events of the campaign included health awareness lectures about breast cancerand dissemination of prints and publications to educate the community about the disease. The events took place at the female section Faculty of Science and Humanities in Rumaah. A Rummah General Hospital breast cancer screening mobile clinic was present during the events of the campaign. As a result, 67 lady of the elderly were screened via mammography (breast X-rays) and 186 students and faculty members were physically examined by a female breast cancer specialist. At the conclusion of the health awareness campaign on fighting breast cancer, the Faculty Deputy Dean Mrs. Labibah Al-Enazi presented the participants, who contributed to the success of the campaign, with honoring shields for their cooperation and great efforts to spread health awareness in the college and in the community too.
