The Student Affairs Unit at the Applied College, Majmaah Branch, organized a scientific visit for the students to the university's astronomical observatory to introduce them to its scientific activities and events.
The students were welcomed and listened to a comprehensive explanation about the components of the observatory and how it works along with the major role played by the observatory in studying astronomical phenomena including observing celestial bodies and providing support to researchers and those interested in the field of astronomy.
The scientific activities and events organized by the observatory were also highlighted including direct astronomical observation, scientific lectures, and interactive planetarium shows. The students learned about the modern equipment used in observation as well as their role in providing accurate data that helps in scientific research.
