The Vice-Dean’s Office for Educational Affairs held an open meeting with new students on Sunday. The meeting was launched by the dean, Dr. Tariq Al-Bahlal who explained to students the difference between university life and high school, motivating students to learn new skills and to be restricted to the textbook.
The vice-dean for educational affairs, Dr. Fahad Al-Sherari, talked briefly about the importance of academic advisor’s role in monitoring students’ performance.
Dr. Saad Al-Othaimeen, vice-dean for quality and development, motivated students to work hard, highlighting the significance of surveys to determine students’ needs and improve the outcomes of educational process.
The vice-dean for graduate studies and scientific research, Dr. Hajed Al-Otaibi, addressed the importance of learning research skills to serve the community at best.
At the end of the meeting, the coordinator of e-learning unit, Dr. Mohammed Medhat, talked about the services provided by the unit, followed by a presentation for the coordinator of student support unit, Dr. Murad Al-Shobul, who introduced students to their rights and duties.
