The Department of Business and Finance organized on Monday an introductory meeting for new students in the second semester of the academic year 1443 AH. The meeting was moderated by Mr. Abdelmajeed Al-Ghusun and began by a speech delivered by the head of the department, Dr. Mubarak Mansour who offered a brief overview of the two departments.
He also urged students to develop their skills, abide by the regulations and laws related to the college, and realize their rights and duties.
After that, Dr. Mohamed Medhat - Head of E-Learning Unit - spoke about how to register in online courses, and the importance of attending training courses on the Blackboard system.
Dr. Jamal Halawa addressed the academic advising and highlighted the approved plan for each student in the academic system. He also pointed to the importance of commitment to attend lectures, do assignments, and the nature and impact of the relationship between the student and the academic advisor.
After that, Dr. Jaafar Al-Sharif presented the plan of the Department of Business Administration, talking about the compulsory, elective and free courses, indicating that students are obliged to finish (132) hours.
Dr. Abdul Majeed Al-Ghosn presented the plan of the Finance Department, sharing a set of advice to the students, followed by Mr. Mamdouh Al-Tamimi and Mr. Ali Al-Rashidi who talked about labor market and its needs.
Mr. Fawaz Al-Fawaz - Head of the Student Services Unit - spoke about a the services provided by the unit, handing out brochures about the activities and their location.
