The Student Affairs Department, represented by the College Club at female campus, in collaboration with the units and departments, organized an event on the occasion of the Foundation Day. The event aimed to introduce the history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its leaders from the time of its foundation until its emergence from the land of Diriyah. The event took place on Tuesday, 1st of August, 1444 H, in the college's atrium and included several contributions from the college staff.
The event featured various corners, including a corner showcasing some of the customs and traditions of welcoming guests, such as serving coffee, dates, and traditional Saudi dishes. Another corner displayed the decorations that women used in the past, from the traditional face covering (burqa) to the old-fashioned clothing (mukhnah). Decorative items, including ancient engravings that were highly valued and used, were also exhibited.
Pictures of women's clothing from different regions of the kingdom in the olden times were displayed. The event concluded with a poetic recitation by Ms. Amal Al-Mansour, expressing her feelings about the country and her emotions on Foundation Day.
