At the directives of Majmaah University Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqrin to integrate Technology into the educational process at the university, the E-learning Deanship at the University held a meeting to discuss the proposed courses offered via distance learning. The meeting was attended by the University Vice-rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ahmad Romaih, his vice, Dr. Khalid Al-Medebri and the heads of the departments. The M.U. Vice-rector and Supervisor of the E-learning Deanship, Dr. Mosallam Al-Dousari chaired the meeting, where he provided the goals of transfer to distance learning mode of education and the readiness of the E-learning deanship to put forward electronically- developed courses. Furthermore, the meeting discussed the procedures of running such courses among the academic departments. The Vice-rector for Academic Affairs has expressed his admiration for the level of development of e-courses saying that “the transformation to the mode of e-learning reflects the extent of development reached by the university.” The department heads also welcomed the move that would ease the teaching load of the academic departments, and the diversity of course delivery would be more interesting for students. At the end of the meeting, the Vice –rector, Dr. Mosallam Al-Dousari thanked the attendees for their participation and Dr. Khalid Al-Muqrin, M.U. Rector, for his support of this new direction.
