The Deanship of e-learning and distance learning initiated the electronic educational supplies inventory for people of special needs to keep pace with the evolution of science and the advanced teaching technologies, and according to recognising the educational requirements of people with special needs; the Deanship in coordination with the colleges of the university and the preparatory year Deanship prepares out an inventory of the needs of e-learning requirements for all students with special needs to meet their educational needs, and based on the eligibility of this category to take advantage of these new technologies; and allow fair opportunity in education to benefit from the programs, services, and activities of the university through linking them to information technology and communication as a means to enhance their potential and enrich their abilities, that teaches them to use a variety and comprehensive and assistive technologies to suit their different needs depending on each type of disability. This includes all the technical facilities of technological education resources, which provide interactive environments for them to benefit from the latest developments and best applications and practices in the field of assistive technology to ensure an appropriate level of academic life accommodation and having their rights of academic and educational opportunities. The Deanship aims to increase awareness of the assistive technology to enrich the lives of people with special needs.The Deanship Rectorship for Academic Affairs has an important role in this project, which seeks to provide educational e-facilities for students with special needs who are currently studying or who will be registered in the next academic year.
