At the request of MU rector, Dr. Khalid al-Muqren, and within the framework of the university’s pursuit to comply with the National Transformation Program initiatives to meet the goals of the Kingdom vision 2030, the university launched an afforestation campaign at the main campus, entitled “Green main campus”.
The 2-week campaign aims to introduce trees and tree seedlings to areas that have previously not been forested as a way to reduce visual pollution and improve the general look of the university.
Many of the university units are taking part in the campaign along with the Ministry of Environment, Water & Agriculture, Majmaah Municipality and Green Majmaah Association.
The door is open for volunteers who are interested in the initiative via the national portal for volunteers.
