In line with the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Majmaah University (MU) and the Northern Border University (NBU), a delegation of Northern Border University visited MU to learn from its experience in project management.
The delegation was headed by the advisor of NBU rector and supervisor of PMO, Dr. Mohammed Ammar.
Welcomed by the supervisor of PMO, Dr. Ayman al-Barakati, he pointed out that this meeting would be a point of departure for exchanging experience between the two sides.
During the 3-day visit, a wide-range of topics of mutual interest were addressed in the field of project management. A workshop was conducted on day one which focused on the fundamental stages the office has been through since it was founded. The forms and documents of PMO were also reviewed along the mechanism of project management procedures and the measurement of performance indicators.
On the second day, the delegation was introduced to the E-Systems developed by PMO.
The delegation, on the third day, was accompanied on a tour to the Prosthetic Limbs Center to have a look at its sections and the different services provided to patients. The center was founded on the basis of serving science and technology majors at colleges and as an avenue for conducting research, an act through which the university strives to excel in rehabilitation and prosthetic limbs.
The delegation also visited the university’s printing press followed by different initiatives dedicated for the community service, such as Mobile Medical Services, Mobile Learning Bus, Blood Donation Bus.
The delegation members expressed their gratitude with the university’s achievements in the field of project management, hoping that this visit would be a starting point for mutual cooperation between the two universities.
