Within the framework of signed partnership between MU and some public sectors and as part of its social responsibility to serve the Kingdom’s vision 2030 in supporting voluntary works, the Blood Bank at MU held several blood donation campaigns.
The first campaign was 7 days and was conducted at Granada Mall in cooperation with Central Blood Bank (CBB) in Riyadh and Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. 170 volunteers have participated in the campaign.
A similar 2-day campaign took place in Riyadh in collaboration with the CBB and Basmat Kheer. 102 volunteered in this campaign.
Another campaign was conducted at the Indian Embassy and over 100 volunteers have donated their blood.
The vice-rector and chairman of Social Responsibility Observatory, Prof. Musallam al-Dosari, pointed out that this campaign was held at the request of MU rector and in line with the university strategic plan.
This campaign would not have seen the light had it not been for the generous fund granted by the government of this country, added Prof. al-Dosari.
