Under the patronage of MU rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqren, the third student forum ceremony was held by the Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA). The ceremony launched by a recitation of the holy Quran followed by a speech for the dean of DSA, delivered on behalf of him by the vice-rector for student Affairs, Dr. Faris Al-Faris.
Briefing about the forum, which was first held three years ago, Dr. Al-Faris pointed out that the primary aim of this forum is to hone students’ skills and promote among them the culture of innovation and research with cash-prizes of over 100,000.
Despite the current situation of the pandemic, the total number of participants has reached 248 from different colleges, 64 of which have won and only first and second position winners will be awarded in the ceremony.
Dr. Al-Faris concluded his speech by thanking MU rector for patronizing the ceremony, congratulating both participants and winners, and encouraged them to take part in upcoming events. Special thanks were extended to the Deanship of Scientific Research and the General Administration of PR for their cooperation.
A documentary film was played illuminating the student third forum and students’ contributions in the past years. The film also featured the forum’s topics, and they are:
Research (which comprises engineering science, health science and humanities), Fine art, Short film, Caricature drawing, Oratory, Optical visualization.
Addressing the audience, MU rector extended his thanks to the students who participated in this forum, stressing that they deserve full attention.
The ceremony was ended by awarding winners in the third student forum by MU rector, followed by shooting memorial photos.
