SAUDI CULTURAL MISSION IN AUSTRALIA HONORS SCHOLARSHIP STUDENT FAISAL AL-SHEMMARI

In the presence of the cultural attach, Dr. Hesham Khedawrdi and a number of the staff as well as scholarship-students, the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission in Australia honored the scholarship student, Faisal Al-Shemmari, a faculty member in the Department of Educational Science at the College of Education, in a farewell ceremony for the cultural attach.  

In a presentation given by Al-Shemmari about the Artificial Intelligence and the future education, he pointed out that AI has become dominant over services and human jobs, providing accurate results.  

AI has been used to develop and advance numerous fields, but in the education sector it would be faced with several challenges.

The ability of AI is determined by the development of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural-language programming (NLP) and Robotics, added Al-Shemmari.

These tools can develop the education sector using the immense capacity of computation, prediction and accurate results.

Al-Shemmar also said that AI in the education sector is not limited to the development of programming and manufacturing and educational and social schools but include human, historian and political issues.

The applications of AI in the field of education, according to Al-Shemmari, may incorporate robot teacher, pedagogical agents, personalized learning which is based on Learning Analytics and many more.  

Mr. Al-Shemmari extended his thanks to MU rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqren and all vice-rectors for supporting scholarship-students. Special thanks were expressed to the head of the Department of Educational Science, Dr. Mohammed Aba-Hussein for his follow-up.
