In the presence of vice-rectors, deans and staff, MU rector, Prof. Saleh Al-Mizil launched Sheikh Mohammed Al-Fawzan Research Chair for Inheritance.
The aim of the chair is to carry out research and studies in the field of inheritance and to form partnerships with bodies specialized in this area.
Dr. Sultan Al-Tuwalah, supervisor of the chair, pointed out that the primary purpose of this chair is to create an environment conducive to research and development which complies, with the sustainable development in the country, and to relate research outcomes with community needs.
With the growing number of research chairs at universities worldwide, Sheikh Al-Fawzan’s chair follows suit in encouraging educational and research institutions to invest the outcomes of such research chairs, particularly in the field of inheritance.
Being described as a common problem in Islamic countries, Dr. Al-Tuwalah said that inheritance will be the focus of this chair, and highly qualified researchers will be invited to conduct studies that enrich this area of study.
Dr. Al-Tuwalah concluded his remark by commending the support of MU rector, Prof. Al-Mizil to this chair, and the supervision of the vice-rector, Dr. Ahmed Al-Rumaih.
