Under the patronage of MU rector, Prof. Saleh Al-Mizil, and in the presence of vice-rectors and deans, the Deanship of Quality and Skills Development held an awarding ceremony for academic programs that earned the academic accreditation.
The ceremony began by a report presented by Dr. Fereih Al-Anizi about the status of academic accreditation and the initiative of increasing the number of accredited programs, which will help in leveling up the rank of the university locally and internationally.
To earn the accreditation, Dr. Al-Anizi, said that the initiative had to undergo three stages: during the first stage, seven academic programs earned the national accreditation, the second phase featured submitting documents of seven new BA degrees and one MA program, and the last stage included signing an agreement with the NCAAA for six BA and MA programs.
Dr. Al-Anizi pointed out that the university’s plan is that all academic programs will earn academic accreditation by 2025.
The ceremony ended by awarding academic programs that earned the accreditation and they are: Medicen and Surgery, College of Medicine - Medicine and Dental Surgery, College of Dentistry- Physiotherapy and Biotechnology, College of Applied Medical Science - Computer Science, College of Computer Science and Information - Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering, College of Engineering.
