A group of MU students from the Department of Law, College of Business Administration, won 8th place in the international Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration Arabic Moot which is organized by the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration. 85 teams from 64 universities in 14 countries took part in the contest which was held during the period from September 15th, 2021 to May 15th, 2022 in the contest.
The participants will compete by arguing a hypothetical arbitration case simulating international commercial cases, thus honing the legal skills that the participants would need in order to argue before international arbitration tribunals.
MU's team included: Yasser Al-Saab, Samer Al-Harbi, Abdel Aziz Al-Rashidi, Khalid Al-Shehri, Meshari Al-Shemmari, Najed Al-Swayh, Lama Al-Ali, Nujoud Al-Raheemi, Sheikhah Al-Rwassa, Reemaz Al-Abdelateef and Waad Al-Mubarak.
The dean of College of Business Administration, Dr. Neqayyan Al-Sadouni, extended his thanks to MU rector, Prof. Al-Mizil, for supporting the team, and to Dr. Faris Al-Faris, Head of Law Department and Dr. Yasser Bader and Dr. Meshael Al-Ahmadi, for supervising the team in this event.
