The activities of the international stroke conference hosted by Majmaah University kicked off under the patronage of MU rector, Prof. Saleh Al-Mezal. The conference which takes place during the period 6-7 February 2024 brings together academicians, experts, and advocates of stroke to exchange their thoughts and expertise.
MU rector, Prof. Al-Mezal launched the associated exhibition and took a tour of all participant departments.
Everyone listened to the speech delivered by the vice-rector for graduate studies and scientific research, Prof. Mohammed Al-Shehri, who expressed the university's delight to hold this conference which is evidence of the university's belief in the importance of individual health and the necessity to support research and innovation to promote the community health care.
The vice-rector added that this conference brings together experts, researchers, and practitioners to exchange their knowledge and expertise in the field of stroke. The conference's main objective aligns with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 to promote the research and innovation sector in improving community health care.
After watching a film about the stroke, the participants in the conference were honored.
The conference addresses various themes including early stroke diagnosis, risk assessment using state-of-the-art technologies and methods in early diagnosis of strokes, comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation using the latest strategies and techniques for treating strokes, and the recent developments in stroke research.
This conference targets researchers, scientists, doctors, health specialists, faculty members, undergraduate and graduate students, policymakers, the private sector, and the pharmaceutical industry.
