Under the patronage of MU rector, Prof. Saleh Al-Mezal, and in the presence of the vice-rectors, deans and directors, the Deanship of Student Affairs held the closing ceremony of student activities for the academic year 1445 and awarded winners of the Sixth Student Forum Contest for Talent and Creativity.
The ceremony began with recitation from the Holy Quran followed by a speech delivered by the dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Saleh Al-Rashidi, who highlighted the deanship's vision and strategy for the coming period, the deanship's achievements during this academic year 1445 and the efforts exerted to organize this event.
The ceremony included two presentations highlighting the student activities for the academic year 1445 and the project of improving the university campus.
The ceremony ended by honoring outstanding student clubs and colleges and the coordinators for their efforts in motivating and following up on the activities of students in their colleges. The winners of the contest were also awarded.
Prof. Al-Aboudi then launched the exhibition associated with the sixth student forum which featured students' remarkable works in different fields including: scientific research, short films, cartooning, plastic drawing, photography, community service, and the innovation and sustainability hackathon. The cash prize for the contest was given by the Student Fund and exceed SR 200.000.
The forum primary topics focused on humanitarian issues, enhancing intellectual security, protecting Environment, World Cup 2034, tourism development, promoting the values of integrity and anti-corruption, green Saudi Arabia.
