Prof. Saleh Al-Mezal, MU rector, launched the new headquarter of the University Medical Center. Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Harbi, the dean of the College of Medicine and the executive director of the Medical Center gave a detailed explanation of the specialized equipment in the center, including: EEG test, muscle test, echocardiography devices and EKG devices. The rector also was briefed about the radiology department and the magnetic resonance imaging.
The rector's tour also included the emergency and trauma department where he was briefed on how the medical staff deals with critical and epidemic cases. The rector toured the specialized clinics and virtual clinics, patient follow-up, ophthalmology devices, vital signs devices, pharmacy and medical laboratory.
The rector oversaw the latest technologies used in ambulances to serve university employees and citizens within the university’s geographic area.
The launch was attended by the director of Hawtat Sudair Hospital, Mr. Turki Al-Jish, and a delegation from Abdullah Al-Rajhi Charitable Foundation.
