Prof. Saleh Al-Mezal, MU rector, launched the local committee system for research ethics which is part of the Vice-Rector's Office for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research's plan for the year 2024 automate all its services.
Prof. Mohammed Al-Shehri, the vice-rector, gave an overview of the system and the services provided to researchers from inside and outside the university. The vice-dead of the Committee, Dr. Saeed Banwas, explained the committee's work method and how automating its operations has had a positive impact on the speed of granting ethical permission.
The rector appreciated the efforts exerted by the Vice-Rector's Office for Graduate Studies and the Deanship of Information Technology and E-Learning facilitate the work of the committee.
It is worth noting that this system aims to serve researchers from inside and outside the university and applies the the procedures approved by the National Committee for Research Ethics in King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology.
