Under the patronage of MU Rector, Prof. Saleh Al-Mezal, and in the presence of vice-rectors, deans of colleges and supporting deanships and directors of administrations and centers, the university’s fourth strategic plan (2025-2030) was launched in an official ceremony.
The ceremony featured a presentation about the strategic plan that was presented by the Vice-Rector for development and investment - head of the fourth strategic plan preparation committee -, Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, commended the concerted efforts exerted by everyone to launch this vital project under the theme “Sustainable Development and Empowering the Future.” Prof. Al-Dosari then explained that the fourth strategic plan relies heavily on previous plans' successes and challenges.
He added that this plan aims to make MU a leading academic and research center that aligns with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and enhances the sustainability of economic and social development.
The Vice-Rector highlighted the basis of the fourth strategic plan, and they are: the Kingdom's Vision 2030 goals to improve education and sustainable development, the Ministry of Education's plan and the criteria for the self-report, the academic accreditation criteria and its indicators and the ongoing initiatives in the university's third plan (2020-2025).
Lastly, the Vice-Rector addressed the strategic objectives and statistics of the strategic plan.
