On behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed M. Al-Eysa, Chairman of the university board, the 3rd meeting of the academic year 1436/1437 was chaired by the Rector, Dr. Khalid S. Al-Mugren in the conference hall in his office. The meeting was attended by the General Secretary of Education Dr. Mohammad Al-Saleh (via video conference), the university vice-rectors and deans of colleges and deanships.
The university Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research and the general secretary Dr. Mohammad al-Shaya’a stated that the Rector Dr. Khalid S. Al-Mugren inaugurated the meeting by commending the speech delivered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz on the 6th session of Shura Council with regard to the domestic and foreign policy of the country. Appreciations were extended to the former minister , Dr. Azzam Al-Dukeil for his unfailing commitment and efforts in education field. congratulations, on the other hand, were expressed to the new minister, Dr. Ahmed Al-Eysa and wished him a great success. The Rector mentioned that the university has signed a number of deals with respected organizations such King Fahad Medical City and Princess Al-Anoud Charitable Organization which aim to serve the community at large.
A number of issues were also discussed in the meeting with regard to the appointment new lecturers and demonstrators, the recommendation of scholarship and training committee, scientific journals, graduation of students and conferring master degree to two female students from the college of education in Zulfi.
