Within the activities of the preparatory forum of the Sixth Scientific Conference for male and female students in higher education in the Kingdom, his Excellency the Rector of the University, Dr. Khalid bin Saad Al Muqrin, paid a visit to the pavilion of innovation and entrepreneurship pivots, which are supervised by the Centre for Innovation and Student Distinct Ideas affiliated with the Vice Presidency of the University for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the University. Therefore, Dr. Bakhit bin Awad Al-Rashidi, Director of the Centre for Innovation and Student Distinct Ideas, provided full explanation about the mechanism of providing student participations and judge these participations by a committee from faculty members at the university in various scientific disciplines, then he provided precise explanation for a number of important and distinctive innovations. Also, he added that this year has witnessed a qualitative and quantitative leap at the works submitted to the Centre, which reflects the extent of development and full awareness of students with the requirements of the age and the shift towards an economic knowledge-based community. On his part, the Rector of the University expressed his pleasure with what he saw of innovations and research projects and praised on the enthusiastic and competitive spirit that characterized the participants, also the Rector of the University expressed his thanks to His Excellency the Vice Rector of the University for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Shayae, and the Director of the Centre for Innovation and Student Distinct Ideas, Dr. Bakhit bin Awad Al-Rashidi, and all the employees to contribute to the creation of a research and innovative distinct environment among the university students, stressing the continuation of efforts in order to serve the country and the university as well.
