“The Majmaah University Strategic Plan Practical Framework” illustrates the scientific methodology and the detailed action plan to be followed during the process of formulating, implementing and evaluating the university’s strategic plan from a comprehensive systematic perspective focusing on conducting an environmental scanning for the status quo in order to extrapolate potential opportunities and threats at the same time it analyzes the university’s internal environment in terms of its self-capacity and efficiency. The main aim here is to identify its strengths and weaknesses, achieving harmony and co-ordination between its various activities seeking to maximize the execution of the university’s quality strategy, realization of its future vision and strategic ends.Furthermore, the adopted methodology for strategic planning by the university provides us with a sound foundation for making strategic decisions according to a number of standardized pre-formulated criteria. Accordingly; such methodology becomes, in fact, a basic indispensable approach of strategic planning for the university shaping its relations with the surrounding environment, job market, fulfilling the needs of community development as well as coping with changes and innovations at all national, regional and international levels.It’s against this backdrop that The Majmaah University Strategic Plan Practical Framework essentially focuses on highlighting the diverse phases and steps to be followed by Majmaah University in its incessant endeavors to prepare a consistent integrated applicable strategic plan in addition to illustrating different processes, tasks, activities, events and products branching from each individual phase, namely:¶ Preparation and stage setting;¶ Internal and external environments’ scan of the university;¶ Constructing the strategic plan general guidelines;¶ Cormulation of general ends, goals and relevant realization strategies; ¶ Plan revision, approval and writing its final report.
