‘HOW TO COPE WITH A CRISIS: CORONA AS A CASE STUDY’ SYMPOSIUM CAME TO AN END

The final day of the symposium entitled “How to cope with a crisis: Corona as a case study” – organized by the College of Education in Majmaah, represented by the Vice-Dean’s Office for Educational Affairs – was held under the patronage of the Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al-Rumaih.
A large number of faculty members participated in the symposium which featured different sessions in virtual rooms addressing a wide variety of topics.
An opening statement was given by the Dean of the College, Dr. Majed Aba-Hussein, followed by two sessions which were moderated by the Vice-Dean for Educational Affairs, Dr. Khalid Al-Nasser: the first one was presented by Dr. Sulaiman Al-Yusuf on “The Role of Optimism in Islamic Studies”, and the second addressed the “Role of family in crisis management”, presented by Dr. Aqil Al-Aqil.
On the second day, the psychological aspect was discussed via a paper presented by the Dean of Human Resources, Dr. Alhumaidy Al-Dhaydan, with the title “Educational and psychological protection during corona”.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Ghefaily addressed a paper entitled “How to utilize technology educationally during the crisis”.
The final paper, presented by Dr. Jawaher Al-Uhaideb, focused on the corona virus protective instructions.
At the end of the sessions, Dr. Sir Al-Khatim provided an interpretation for non-Arab speakers.

Special thanks were extended to those who participated in the symposium as well as to MU Rector, Dr. Al-Muqren, and the Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, for patronizing the event.
