THE RECTOR CHAIRS 1ST MEETING OF THE E-TRANSACTIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE FOR THIS YEAR

His excellency the University Rector Mr. Khalid bin Saad AlMuqrin chaired at the conference room of his office the meeting of the E-Transactions and Communications  Committee members for this year 1437/  1436AH on Sunday 8/1/1437 AH.

 

At the outset of the meeting, the committee chairman welcomed and wished luck the new members: His excellency the IT Vice Dean Dr. Adel bin Muhammad AlSaeed and His Excellency the General Manager of the General Management of Development Mr. Musaad bin Salih AlKhunaini.

 

The Secretary of the Committee Mr. Yousef AlRakban reviewed a brief report of the committee achievements in its former board for the academic year 1436 1437/AH, he mentioned that the committee meetings were (4), the discussed issues during this period reached (17) and the taken decisions and recommendations were (23).

 

%87  of decisions and recommendations have been implemented, note that the rest of them are in the making, he also clarified  that the highlighted achievements during the academic year 1436 / 1435 AH were:

 

1.     Following-up the implementing of ( Administrative communications, e-achieving and workflow procedures) projects.

2.     Following-up the implementing of the 6th transformation measuring requirements in the   e-Government Program(Yasser).

3.     Documentation of the Electronic University services in the Government Services Observatory (more than 105 of services), take the approval upon them from (Yasser) and publish them on ( Saudi Gate -www.saudi.gov.sa).

4.     Participation in Saudi e-Government Achievement Award 2015 with 5 projects.

5.     Participation in Digital Excellence Award (6th round 1436 AH), sponsored by Ministry of Communication and Information Technology.

 

6.     Coordination with IT Deanship to take the precautionary measure to avoid any electronic attacks that may threat the university technological infrastructure security.

7.     Approving the installation of an (alternative) internet line from Mobily in addition to the current line that is  provided by STC.

8.     Approving the operation of the e-gate, e-services, data centers, Computer labs and the network servers with their accessories in University of Majmaah.

9.     Following-up the establishment and supplying the equipment of the Certification Center at IT Deanship and fulfill the requirements through the coordination with National Center for Digital Certification in accordance with the required security standards.

10.Following-up the E-gate Content Translation Committee tasks and its highlighted achievements during the year 1436 /1435 AH, plus the coordinating with King Salman Institute to study the marketing  of ( Electronic Translation Management System).

11.Following- up the university officers affairs system tasks to guarantee entering the complete data in all fields by the system administrators.

12.Following- up the annual report of the General Auditing Bureau and implementing the stated therein.

13.Follow- up activating the content of the annual report of the National Plan for the Communication and Information Technology for the fiscal year 1433 /1432 AH (The Transformation Report of Information Community), Coordination with relevant bodies in the university, reviewing the committee agenda which includes studying university needs of Government Service Bus services (GSB (تكامل, reviewing what have been done in ( The Electronic Services Observatory), (6th  measurement), (Achievement Award) and (Digital Excellence Award), and then reviewing the periodical report of (Administrative communications, e-achieving and workflow procedures project), the committee has also took the proper recommendations over the agenda,  Stated His Excellency the Vice President and the Vice-Chairman of the Committee of Electronic Transactions Dr. Musllam Al-Dossari. Dr. Musallam also mentioned that the committee tasks are focusing on improving the university plan in computer uses: administrative, financial, academic and artistic. Also developing a comprehensive vision for the university programs need in its aspects: administrative, financial, academic, research, office, and students affairs. In addition, learning about the former experiences with other bodies and take advantage of them. Plus, following-up developments in the fields of the use of computers in: administrative, scientific, and training operations and proposing the development of what the University has and recommend bringing what it does not have.
