MU rector, Prof. Saleh Al-Mizil, presided over the tenth meeting of the Academic Plans and Curricula Committee. Praising the efforts exerted by all members, the rector stressed the importance of completing all the tasks assigned to the committee to improve the quality of study programs in all colleges.
He also point out that all requirements related to the proposed plans should be fulfilled in accordance with the relevant standards and procedural guides.
During the meeting, Prof. Al-Mizil shed light on the issue of 'coding courses', referring to some good local and international example in this regard. He said that the codes of all courses that are taught in more than a program should be unified to increase in the level of efficiency of study plans and programs to comply with national and international accreditation standards.
Dr. Obaid Al-Dosari, a member of the committee, gave a detailed explanation of the concept of course coding, its importance and characteristics, with the aim of educating the audience about the importance of this issues.
