The Permanent Committee for Academic Plans and Curricula reviews ways to develop the College of Science programs

The Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Aboudi, discussed in the meeting of the Permanent Committee for Academic Plans and Curricula ways to develop the programs of the College of Science in line with current changes and the needs of the labor market. The meeting featured a comprehensive review of the academic programs in the departments of physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics. The feedback and improvement recommendations for each program were reviewed in a way that enhances the effectiveness of education and the quality of outputs. 

The meeting also discussed multiple detailed constructive opinions on the topics which contributed to enriching the discussions and providing new visions for developing academic programs. 

The Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs and Chairman of the Committee pointed out that the outputs of these programs should be highly competitive and keep pace with rapid developments in various fields. He also stressed that educational goals are not limited to qualifying students, but also to have exceptional projects and scientific research that contribute to meeting the needs of national development and play an important role in achieving sustainable development goals in vital areas at the local and global levels. 

He added that the continuous vet of academic programs is one of the university's priorities to ensure having higher education that is consistent with international quality standards and provides broader opportunities for graduates in the labor market.

It is worth noting that the Standing Committee for Academic Plans and Curricula is working to develop integrated strategies to develop curricula in line with future trends and ensure the enhancement of the university's position in academic and research fields at the local and international levels.
