Within the framework of the Department of Law to qualify students to learn essential skills and knowledge that are necessary to join the market, the law club in cooperation with the training unit conducted a training course entitled “Terrorist Financing and Virtual Currency” at the College of Business Administration in Majmaah.
Several topics were addressed in the training course including the definition of virtual currency with particular focus on bitcoin.
The presenter also highlighted the pros and cons of virtual currency.
The presenter talked about the global use of virtual currency and how they can be badly manipulated to illegal purposes such as financing terrorist organizations.
The course was concluded by pointing out the national measures to combat illegal use of these currencies to financing terrorism.
