The College of Education celebrated the World Disability Day at the college auditorium in the presence of the college Vice-Dean Dr. Bashayer bint Hamed Al Rumaih, a number of faculty members, staff, and a number of students.
The ceremony began with the national anthem and a welcoming statement followed by recitation of the Holy Quraan. A panel discussion took place the with Mrs. Nawal Al Obaid, a mother of a child with Down Syndrome. Afterwards, a video about the most prominent achievements of disabled people was shown, followed by a march of Oboor’s children.
Booths for each type of disability were located in the lobby, including hearing disability, vision disability, learning difficulties , autism, and down syndrome, in addition to booths for hearing and low vision aids, and entertaining booth for children which included instant photography, paint on the face, and cake decorating, along with presents.
