New students were welcomed by The Department of Islamic Studies on Sunday and Monday 16-17/12/1437 in the presence of the head of the Department of Islamic Studies Dr. Ziad Al-Amer and the Vice-dean of the Department Dr. Haitham Al-Majali, Vice Dean for Student Affairs Dr. Adel Al-Olayan and faculty members of the department. A number of topics were presented: • Introduction to Islamic studies, faculty members, and classrooms. • Encouraging students to familiarize themselves with the Islamic Studies Department's plan by reading the book (The Guidebook of the Department of Islamic Studies). • Urging students to study hard as they begin their enrollment in this section to achieve the highest grades. • The mission, vision and goals of the college, as well as the mission, vision and goals of the department. • Urging students to review the university regulations. • Introducing students to instructional and office hours and encouraging them to take advantage of office hours and teaching hours of faculty members in the department and that they are designed to serve students academically. • Emphasizing the importance of communicating with the academic advisor and indicating the impact on the level of the student achievement. • Introducing students to the importance of the class schedule and the method of withdrawal, course selection and expiry dates. • Introducing students to the distribution of the grades of each course. • Encouraging students to use the tools provided by the university in terms of e-learning (d2l) and its role in completing their education in college. • Solving all problems related to schedules. • Encouraging students to participate in the programs and activities offered by the College and enhancing their capabilities and developing their skills.
