A Course on The Importance of Alfiya Ibnu Malik in Linguistic Studies

Under the guidance of Dean of College of Science and Humanities in Ghat, Dr. Omar Bin Mohammad Al-Omar to develop the students’ skills, the Unit of Student Activities at the College held a training course under the theme: “The importance of Alfiya Ibnu Malik in Linguistic Studies”, on Sunday 19/2/1440 AH.
The course was presented by the college Assistant Professor Dr. Sultan bin Hudhaifah Altawalah, and supervised by Coordinator of the Scientific Committee at the Unit of Student Activities Prof. Mahmoud Mounir Obaidat, .
The main themes of the session were the following:
1. Origin of Arabic language and its most important schools.
2. The most prominent scholars of the Arabic language, syntax in particular
3. The significance of Alfiya in the study of Arabic Syntax
4. How to study and memorize Alfiya and find out its most important explanations.
The course aimed to:
1. Introducing the Arabic Language.
2. Identifying the method of studying the Arabic language for the participants 3. Recognizing the most important poetry in the Arabic language which is Alfiya Ibnu Malik.
The College Dean Dr. Omar Al Omar stressed that such courses are only some of many activities, programs and events organized for students.
He praised the students’ interests and dedication to participate in such activities and encouraged them to demonstrate their competence and talents.
