"Mechanisms of Implementing International Humanitarian Law"

The Student Activity Unit held a training course entitled "Mechanisms of Implementing International Humanitarian Law" presented by Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Issa, Associate Professor at the Department of Law on Tuesday, 24/07/1439.
The course addressed the following:
• Defining humanitarian law
• Areas of application of the international humanitarian law
• The role of international organizations in the implementation of international humanitarian law
• The role of the international judiciary in the implementation of international humanitarian law
The session aimed at:
• Making the rules of international humanitarian law binding and deterrent
• International criminal justice contributing to international humanitarian law
The Dean of the College, Dr. Omar bin Mohammed Al-Omar, stressed that these courses are one of the many activities, programs and events organized by the College for students.
He also emphasized that more courses for developing students' abilities should be offered.
