As the Vice-Dean’s Office for Educational Affairs is concerned to train students creatively on how use the various tools of e-learning system, a 3-day training course was offered by Dr. Hassan Naser Hamouda, supervisor of e-learning unit and accredited trainer by Blackboard. The courses aim to highlight the following points:
- Components of curriculum and main window
- Links of software students may need them while studying the course
- Explaining the ‘Start here’ tab (plan of course- exam timetable – student’s tasks –method of evaluation)
- Links of videos that explain the course
- How to study a course ( introduction – goals- content – summary – activities)
- How to download the course as PDF file
- How to see the course instructions
- How to use the ‘assignment tool’ and upload a file
- How to answer the course activities
- How to answer the lesson exams
- How to answer the lesson questions then move to next lesson
- How to participate in the discussion of each course and answer the teacher’s questions
- How to participate in virtual classrooms of a course and communication takes place with both teacher and other students
- How to follow-up the evaluation tool of a course
- How to send an email to a teacher via the system
- How to receive an email via the system
- How to view the grades of a course in terms exam, assignments, discussion and virtual classrooms.
