The college holds a symposium on the impact of the Arabic language in preserving religious and national identity, in cooperation with the university’s Intellectual Awareness Unit

Under the patronage of the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Mohammad Al-Shehri, and with the presence of the Dean of the College of Education, Prof. Abdulaziz Al-Othman, the College of Education, organized, in cooperation with the Intellectual Awareness Unit, a symposium entitled "The Impact of the Arabic Language in Preserving Religious and National Identity" on Tuesday.

The symposium began with a welcoming speech by the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research who congratulated everyone on the 94th Saudi National Day, indicating that language is the vessel of thought, the incubator of identity, highlighting the status of the Arabic language as it is the language of the Qur’an. He also highlighted the interest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Arabic language.

Dr. Dheeb Al-Asimi - a faculty member in the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Education - talked about the Arabic language and building religious and national culture, pointing out the importance that the Arabic language gained through its embrace of the Islamic religion. 

Dr. Tanaf Al-Otaibi - Head of the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Education - spoke about the "Literary Discourse and Its Impact on Preserving Religious and National Identity", highlighting the role of literature as an important branch of language and its impact on preserving religious and national identity.

The symposium was moderated by Dr. Lulu Al-Amer, a faculty member in the Department of Educational Sciences and a member of the Intellectual Awareness Unit.
