College of Engineering participates in the Sustainability Innovation Week Forum

Dr. Tarek Al-Bajoury, a faculty member in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the College of Engineering participated in the Sustainability Innovation Week Forum which was held as part of the activities of the 16th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification. The forum aims to promote sustainable innovation and combat desertification. The forum was attended by a group of researchers, experts and innovators from around the world to exchange ideas and innovative practices in the fields of sustainability. 

Dr. Al-Bajoury's topic focused on introducing smart parking technology, the use of renewable energy and recycled materials, a program for tracking empty spaces in parking lots, a method for reserving smart parking spaces before arrival and a rainwater collection system and a method for irrigating the green area next to the parking lots which reduces desertification and increases the green space in them.
